Amazing Thai food! Service was very friendly and fast. They have a lunch special menu and each dish is $11.50. You get a small bowl of chicken and rice soup to start. The portions seemed dinner sized to me and I can't remember the last time my husband and I ate out for less than $40, especially considering we each got an appetizer. The restaurant was clean and very cute. They also have a bubble tea counter at the front. I had pad thai and tom kha gai. My husband had pepper garlic stir fry and fried spring rolls. Everything was great.

Reviews
I was a little skeptical about Thai Smile at first since most of the reviews on their Google page are from the previous restaurant that used to be here (Ariake Sushi Bar). It looks like Thai Smile took over the page and updated the name, which I totally understand. Google reviews are a big deal for any small business. Now, about the food: I originally wanted Pad Thai, but couldn’t find a single review for it, which surprised me. Instead, I went with the Traditional Fried Rice with pork and I’m glad I did. It was honestly the best fried rice I’ve ever had. The rice was perfectly cooked, not too firm or too soft. All the ingredients, pork, peas, carrots, onions, egg, and even tomato (which was new for me!) came together beautifully. I also tried the Fried Pork Wontons, but those were a bit of a letdown. They weren’t bad, just not what I was expecting. Maybe they’d be better with a touch of cream cheese in the mix. Overall, great food. I’ll definitely be back sometime to try their Pad Thai.
My new favorite Thai place ! Tom ka was wonderful and their curry is amazing ! The server was very kind and welcoming and I will be coming back! Their lunch special is a really good deal too
Now a Thai restaurant, food is good, service quick, boba tea delicious, usually a special on the front door if you look (free Thai Tea with $15 purchase, etc). Clean and nice atmosphere. I got Honeydew Boba, Spring Rolls, and Massaman Curry with tofu.
**Name changed to Thai Smile & Sushi Bar, previously Happy Thai & Sushi Bar** What a wonderful restaurant. Amazing service, friendly and attentive staff, gentle relaxing ambiance, and delicious food. Portions are generous and price is reasonable. Service: Sometimes takes a minute for the server to get around to you but the wait is worth it. Great recommendations and drink service. Ambiance: Feels traditional but modern. The music consists of soft covers of pop music which weirdly works well. Food: Can't say enough good things. Get anything that looks good, you can't go wrong. Spring rolls are crisp and fall apart in your mouth. Steamed dumplings are just the right amount of chewy. Green tea is smooth, not bitter or over-steeped. Miso soup is delicious. Tuna hand roll is absolutely fantastic. Vegas and Dayton rolls are wonderful. This restaurant is absolutely worth a trip for the Thai or Japanese cuisine lovers. Some of the best sushi in the area!
Update 2025: This review was originally written for Ariake Sushi Bar, which has now been converted to a thai restaurant called Thai Smile. Most of their menu is Thai food with only a few of the original dishes remaining. Please note this when reading reviews from before January 2025. Ariake’s authentic and expansive Japanese menu will be deeply missed. Hoping we will be able find this quality of my favorite dishes elsewhere One of my favorite places to eat, ever! I started eating here in 2019 & I’ve tried half the menu at this point and have never been disappointed. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Japanese food, this is the place to go! Some of my personal favorites are the Okinawa soba, curry udon, miso ramen, una jyu, steak hibachi platter, and any of their sushi rolls. All meals (usually) come with complimentary miso soup or ginger salad appetizer
I ordered the crab fried rice and the combination rice, and both were delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how I requested. The portions are huge for the price, and you can really taste the quality. I’ve ordered here several times, and they never disappoint.
